Joe Zaki
I'm Joe. Left-handed, love watermelon, from Queens, NY. I spent five years living in Boston for undergrad. I then completed my PhD at Mount Sinai in NYC in the lab of Dr. Denise Cai, studying how the brain updates past memories. I'm now interested in the structure of sleep and how that structure begets its many functions, and more generally in the structure and dynamics of complex natural systems. I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at NYU, working with Dr. André Fenton.
Outside science, I bake desserts often, spend most of my waking day listening to music, and carry some sort of camera with me almost always.
